The Seniors had one of their best seasons on record. As you can see the 1s & 3s won their respective leagues and the 2s and 4s were runners up. This says a lot about the strength and depth across the whole senior section. Sadly after two seasons as Head Coach, James “Knoxy” Knox has decided to step down. OAs are very sad to see him step down given the amount of time and effort he has put into the whole senior section. Having taken over from Tom Chambers, 2 seasons ago he built on the great foundations “Chambers” had laid down and had a huge impact across all the OAs teams. In particular the 1s had back-to-back promotions and will now play in Regional 1 South Central (very catchy name !). We also won the Papa Johns cup last year but sadly went out in the QF this season to eventual winners, Reeds Weybridge. We also say goodbye to Griff Jones who is moving up North with work. He has worked wonders with the seniors and we are very sad to see him leave and we will hopefully see him in the future when he realises how cold it gets up North. Joe Knight has also decided to take a reduced role with the 4s next season although we are still working on him! Joe has helped nurture the development players in the 5s/devs/4s for many years and his exceptional organisational skills will be sorely missed. More to follow about the Seniors for next season.
