Old Alleynians Rugby Football Club is committed to a policy of equal opportunity, fairness and nondiscrimination. We strive to maintain good practice in the coaching of young players, ensuring they can flourish in a safe environment. All coaches and officials who have regular supervisory contact with children have undertaken a RFU enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
We adheres to and endorses the England Safeguarding Policy and procedures, practices and guidelines contained therein. Any concerns should in the first instance be notified to the Club Safeguarding Officer who will inform the Kent Safeguarding Manager and the RFU Safeguarding Executive.
We comply with the RFU Code of Conduct and the Codes of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Coaches, Spectators and Officials. Parents and supporters, both home and away are encouraged to support all players in a manner that constitutes acceptable behaviour both during and after the game has concluded.
Parents should be reminded that whilst their child is being coached on the pitch, he or she will be in the care of a coach or coaches. After training has concluded the player again becomes the responsibility of the parents or guardian.
