How do I join a Senior Men's Rugby side?
We run four regular senior men's sides that play on a Saturday as well as an occasional Veterans team. To join any of these teams please contact Ned Barker at men@oarfc.club.
Training for senior mens rugby players takes place at the Club at 7.30pm every Wednesday evening. During the summer months we also train on a Monday evening as well. The Club organises a Strength and Conditioning session every Tuesday evening at Manor Gym, please email men@oarfc.club for more information.
How do I join a Senior Women+ Rugby side?
We run two regular senior women+ sides that play matches on a Sunday. To join either of these teams please contact Kate or Pádraigín at women@oarfc.club.
Training for senior women+ rugby players takes place at the Club at 7.30pm every Tuesday and Thursday evening.
How do I join an Age Grade Rugby side U6s to U18s?
We typically train each Sunday. If your son or daughter wishes to start playing rugby, all you need to do is bring them along on a Sunday morning. We run squads based on the players age on 31 August from school year 1 to year 13.
2025/26 Age Grade session Start and End times
Session One - 9.30am until 11am - U6s to U11s and U11/U12/U14 Girls
Session Two – 11.15am until 12.45am - U12s to Colts. U16/U18 Girls = 10.30am start
Please note locations can change each week for some Age Groups depending on mini rugby festivals, league matches and friendlies so please speak to the Head Coach or contact us at info@oarfc.club for updated information.
Our season runs from the start of September to end April. Kids can have three free taster sessions before you need to pay membership. If you are aged 5 on 31 August, you will be an U6. Players cannot play in RFU festivals or fixtures until they are 6. Our U6s play tag rugby. For more information about Age Grade Rugby please contact Spike Kenny.

Are the coaches qualified?
Yes, although we are a volunteer organisation, we require all our volunteers to complete a Disclosure and Barring Services check “DBS” and to be appropriately qualified. This includes running RFU courses at the Club to train and develop our coaches.
