Old Alleynians RFC is a non-profit making community amateur sports club. Our aim is to provide rugby to players of all backgrounds and abilities in an open, friendly and safe environment. Our values are to be open and inclusive, support our local community and provide enjoyment through playing of rugby.
The club is continually looking for new sponsorship partners. It’s our desire to build relationships with sponsors that are local to us, that share our values and have the same local community focus.
What makes us a great sponsorship partner
Founded in 1898 we are one of the oldest rugby clubs in the country. The club is a thriving amateur rugby club with over 1,250 registered members, aged between 6 and 80, from a wide catchment area throughout South London and with children from 70 different schools. Our Age Grade (U6s to U18s) rugby section is now the third largest in the country and is run by over 130 volunteers.
As a volunteer organisation we also host Saracens Summer Rugby camps, Touch Union rugby, England RFU training courses and matches for local state secondary schools including Kingsdale, Charter North and Charter East. The also Club hosts Dulwich Village preschool during weekdays and the Alleyn Cricket Club during the summer months.
The Club is extremely well-attended throughout the year. During the September-April rugby season, the club hosts two or three Senior home games almost every Saturday and a full schedule of Age Grade rugby every Sunday (when we often have over 700 youth players – plus their parents – at our grounds). We run a regular calendar of social activities (such as BBQs, Halloween and Christmas parties) making use of the grounds and the club’s bar facilities. In the summer months, we host a regular cricket calendar and hire out our grounds and facilities for private functions of all varieties.
The Club is currently implementing a growth strategy, including a significant ground and facilities redevelopment. We have already been recognised for our work in the community and growing the game by the England Rugby Football Union, we have existing relationships with such organisations as Saracens Rugby, Harlequins and London South Bank University as well as nearby Dulwich College, from which the Club was originally founded as a club for ex-pupils (Old Alleynians).
