OAs has been an open club for many years but its important we honour our heritage and the foundation of the club in 1898 as a rugby club for ex-pupils of nearby Dulwich College. So earlier this week the club hosted the annual fixture between the new Dulwich College 1st XV and a school leavers team made up from the team the previous year.
Played in front of a sizeable crowd for a Wednesday afternoon, it took a while for the leavers team to fully utilise their extra size and experience in what was an extremely fast-paced game straight from the off, but once they did, it turned into a major rout over their successors.
Best of luck to all those boys off to uni soon, many of whom will likely have strong rugby careers, and we hope to see some of those face back in OAs colours in the club in the future.
