Yesterday we took a group of girls to the pitch up and play event in Dorking.
The day was well organised and whilst very cold and muddy, the weather was kinder to us that the last event at Battersea Ironsides. I think that all the girls who attended had a good time. They all got to play more than one game which is invaluable as we do not yet have numbers at training to allow this. Many thanks to all who made the effort to attend.
I would like to thank Magda and Phil (WKD) coach for also attending to help out and whilst there were plenty of coaches on hand on the day, you never know at events like this so it is always better to have coaching staff with you. Also thanks go to Dorking RFC and the Surrey coaches for putting on such a great event.
Thank you also to all attending for your help and support when I found that Fiona had been injured during her game in Aylesford. After a long wait for an ambulance which couldn't get over the muddy field to her, we spent a few hours in a&e. Fortunately there is no bone damage or dislocation, it is a suspected strain to the groin area. So crutches for a few days and maybe some physio and all should be OK.
The next Pitch up and play event will be held in Cobham on the 8th February. It will be for four age groups, U11, U13, U15 and U18's. Please check your diaries and let me know if you would like to attend.
